What drive-tracking apps say they collect
The App Store privacy labels of 15 drive-tracking apps, all read on Oct 6, 2026, in one table. Rearview’s own label is in the last row.
Which apps: the first 10 results on the US App Store for “drive tracker”, “driving stats” and “driving tracker”, put together, minus apps built for a different job, such as learner-driver hours or mileage for expense claims.
Apple describes these labels as self-reported by each app’s developer. We haven’t checked them. A developer can change its label at any time, so every row shows the date we read it. What Apple says about who fills these in

- Location under Data Linked to You: 6 of 15

From our answers to Apple’s privacy questions for Rearview, submitted Oct 6, 2026. Rearview isn’t on the App Store yet, so this label isn’t on a store page.
Rearview uses your location to record drives. Location isn’t on its label because the label covers data that leaves the device in a way the developer or its partners can access. Rearview’s drives are saved on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud when iCloud is on, where we can’t read them. They are never sent to our servers. Apple’s definition of “collect”
The User ID is a random ID made by RevenueCat, the service that handles Rearview’s in-app purchases. Rearview has no accounts.
We read every label again about every 30 days, for the same list of apps.
