Most identification apps hand you a number no matter what, because a number looks like an answer. Nobody has reliable sale prices for most antiques and collectibles. So when a photo is not enough, Attic says so — and lists what would narrow it down: a maker’s mark on the movement, the height of the clock, the stamp underneath.

Private cloud storage for your attic
Every photo you save goes to private cloud storage that only your account can open. Sign in with Apple or Google, and when you reinstall or move to a new phone, the same account brings your collection and its photos back. Signing in is optional, and you can do it any time in Settings. Remove an item and its photos are deleted from the cloud.

Photograph the base, the back, a maker’s mark — up to 4 photos of one item — and Attic looks at them together. When it asks for another photo, the new one joins the ones you’ve taken, so there is no starting over. You can also swap an item’s photo without redoing its estimate.
