What it is, roughly when, the material, any markings, and a value range with what it rests on. If a photo is not enough, it says so and names the shot that would help: the maker’s mark, a measurement, the underside.

It joins your collection with the room or box you keep it in. Export the lot as a spreadsheet whenever you want it somewhere else.

It tells you when it does not know
Most identification apps hand you a number no matter what, because a number looks like an answer. Nobody has reliable sale prices for most antiques and collectibles. So when a photo is not enough, Attic says so — and lists what would narrow it down: a maker’s mark on the movement, the height of the clock, the stamp underneath.

You get a low and a high, plus what the estimate is based on. A single confident number would be easier to show you and harder to trust.

Correct anything — the name, the date, the value. If you know more than the photo does, the app defers to you and keeps your version.

A collection, not a search box
Everything you identify stays in your attic with where you keep it, so you never have to wonder twice. Search it, sort it, and export the whole thing as a spreadsheet.

Private cloud storage for your attic
Every photo you save goes to private cloud storage that only your account can open. Sign in with Apple or Google, and when you reinstall or move to a new phone, the same account brings your collection and its photos back. Signing in is optional, and you can do it any time in Settings. Remove an item and its photos are deleted from the cloud.

Up to 4 photos of one item
Photograph the base, the back, a maker’s mark — up to 4 photos of one item — and Attic looks at them together. When it asks for another photo, the new one joins the ones you’ve taken, so there is no starting over. You can also swap an item’s photo without redoing its estimate.
