Terms of Use

Effective October 6, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the agreement and End User License Agreement (EULA) between you and Stellandra for the use of Rearview ("the App"). Where these Terms are silent, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

What Rearview is

Rearview records your drives — distance, duration, route, stops, and counts of hard braking and hard starts — and keeps a history you can look back on and share as an image.

Do not use your phone while driving

Rearview is designed to need no touches while you drive, and you should not give it any. Set it up before you leave, and look at your drives after you have parked. Obey traffic laws and posted limits at all times. Nothing in the app is a suggestion to drive faster, brake harder, or set a record.

Numbers are estimates

Drives are reconstructed from your phone's location and motion sensors. GPS drifts, tunnels and parking garages drop signal, and a phone cannot always tell a car from a bus or a train. A drive may start late, end early, be missed, or be recorded when you were a passenger. Distances, times, and braking counts are estimates for your own interest.

They are not a certified mileage log, and they are not evidence of how, where, or how fast anyone drove — for insurance, employment, tax, legal, or any other purpose.

Free and paid

Recording drives and seeing the last 7 days is free. Rearview Full History unlocks every drive older than that. It is offered two ways, at the prices shown in the app and on the App Store (prices vary by region and may change):

Drives older than 7 days are never deleted because of what you have or have not paid: they stay on your iPhone, locked, until you unlock them or delete them yourself. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Use "Restore Purchases" to bring a purchase back on a new iPhone with the same Apple ID.

Your data

Your drives are yours. They live on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage; we cannot access them. How the App handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Use the App lawfully, and only to record your own drives or drives you have permission to record. Do not use it to track another person.

Availability and liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty that any drive is recorded, or recorded accurately, or that the App is fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stellandra is not liable for damages arising from your use of the App, including anything that happens on the road. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Changes

Terms change as the App does. The date at the top moves with them. A change that affects what you have paid for or how your data is handled is named in the release notes of the update that brings it.
